"Held the week prior to International Women’s Day, Women Build Week calls women across the globe to raise awareness for the need for safe and affordable housing and provides the tools to empower and educate women on skills for repairing and restoring homes. Habitat for Humanity expects about 6,000 women to volunteer this week to build and improve 540 homes worldwide while raising awareness of housing issues facing women and their families."
