Individual Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering at a Habitat construction site is a uniquely rewarding experience. Under the direction of the site manager, volunteers work alongside our experienced, dedicated construction team and partner families to build affordable homes for low-income families, while having a great time learning construction skills.
Volunteers assist with construction tasks as assigned, according to the progression of the build. No previous construction experience is necessary, however, willingness to follow Habitat’s safety standards and construction practices is a must.
Age Restriction: 16 years or older
As a ReStore volunteer, you’ll work hard, learn new skills, and have fun while supporting Habitat’s mission of providing decent, affordable housing. Not only will you be doing a great community service (without needing a hammer!), you’ll become part of the ReStore family.
Volunteers help to keep overhead low with a goal to raise funds in support of Habitat’ home build projects. Volunteer opportunities include merchandising, customer service, cashiering, loading/unloading donations, and customer service. We’re successful because of our dedicated volunteers, and we’d love to have you join our team.
Volunteer shifts are available Tuesday through Sunday. We can work with you to create custom shifts that fit with your schedule. We also host volunteer groups who assist staff with the daily operation of the store or special projects.
